Mike Felder began his professional career in the music industry as a staff writer for Will Power and Stone Heavy Records.

​In 1975, Moving up Productions was founded. The first artists released on the Moving Up label was Mike and Bill (Somebody's Gotta Go) before being signed to Clive Davis Arista Records.


Moving Up Productions along with Rollers Productions Ltd introduced one of the first self-contained African American bands (Man's Theory) to be signed by MCA Records. Joining the roster of artists like Elton John, Bernie Taupin, Olivia Newton John, Joe Bataan, and Lynard Skynard. Just to name a few…

 

In 2018, Michael Felder was awarded with the Legends of Vinyl Hall of Fame Award for his contribution to the music industry. The awards show included appearances and performances by:
